• Where to Stay

Scottsdale is our top pick — centrally located, close to the venue, and full of things to do. It’s a little pricier, but you’ll be in the middle of the action.

For more budget-friendly options, check out:

Gilbert – our wedding venue is here, plus plenty of restaurants and shopping.

Mesa – between Gilbert and Scottsdale, more of a “local suburb” vibe with lower prices.

  • Activities We Recommend

    Grand Canyon-globally recognized natural wonder

Papago Park – Easy walking trails, red rock scenery, and great photo spots (including Hole-in-the-Rock).

South Mountain Park & Preserve – One of the largest municipal parks in the country with scenic drives and lookout points.

Antique & Vintage Shops – Scottsdale and Central Phoenix have great thrifting and vintage finds.

    Other Fun Stuff

Musical Instrument Museum (North Scottsdale) – explore music from around the world

Talking Stick Resort & Casino – upscale casino, restaurants, and spa

Phoenix Zoo & Botanical Garden – desert nature + wildlife in one trip

Golfing – if that’s your thing (it’s not ours, but people travel here just for it)

Hiking - Arizona is known for its stunning desert hikes, but please plan carefully. Many trails range from easy to very strenuous, and weather conditions can change quickly.

    We recommend:

    Starting early in the day

    Bringing plenty of water

    Wearing proper footwear

Choosing trails that match your comfort and fitness level

  • *Grand Canyon Day Trip Update*

We originally explored the idea of organizing a group trip to the Grand Canyon during wedding week. After further consideration, we’ve decided not to host an organized group excursion so that everyone can enjoy their time at their own pace.

That said, we know the Grand Canyon is high on many visitors’ must-see lists, and there are excellent daily tour options available for those who would still like to go.

Interested in Visiting the Grand Canyon?

Several reputable tour companies offer full-day guided trips departing from the Phoenix and Scottsdale areas. These tours typically include:

    Round-trip transportation

Guided sightseeing at the Grand Canyon

    Stops at scenic viewpoints

Optional upgrades such as Skywalk access or Sedona stops

Below is one company we recommend for convenience and reliability:

    Grand Canyon Scenic Rides
Daily guided tours from Phoenix & Scottsdale
    Website: https://www.grandcanyonscenicrides.com

(Guests are welcome to book directly with the tour company based on their own schedules and preferences.)

    A Quick Note

Please note that any Grand Canyon tours booked independently are not part of our wedding events, and guests are responsible for their own transportation, reservations, and timing.

We’re so excited to celebrate with you and appreciate your understanding as we keep wedding week relaxed and flexible for everyone 🤍

  • Dining

Phoenix isn’t “famous” for one food, but we do have:

Native fry bread – fluffy, delicious, and a must-try

24-hour drive-thru Mexican food – carne asada fries at 3 AM are a spiritual experience

Pizzeria Bianco – if you love Italian-style pizza, this is considered the best in the country

    Local Fast Food Picks:

Angie’s Grill / Angie’s Lobster – bowls & wraps (lobster locations serve lobster)

In-N-Out – Dominique’s order: Double Double Animal Style Protein Style

Whataburger – Jason’s order: Whataburger with cheese

Filiberto’s – Ethan’s order: Carne asada fries, no guacamole
